Davide Algeri

psicologo-milano-algeri-davideDavide Algeri graduated in Clinical and Community Psychology at the University of Palermo in 2005. He then completed his four-year specialization course in Brief Strategic Therapy at the Training School in Brief Strategic Therapy in Arezzo in 2011. From 2011 to 2013 he further attended both a basic and advanced course in Clinical Sexology organized by the Associazione Italiana Sessuologia Psicologia Applicata in Milan.

He is founder & clinical supervisor of Servizio Italiano di Psicologia Online (www.psicologi-online.it), which offers online counseling through the use of chat and video conferencing with the aim to promote the well being of the patient in the respect of the code of conduct and professional ethics.

During his specialization studies in Brief Strategic Therapy, he became particularly interested in the application of new technologies for Phychology. At this end, between 2008 and 2010 he worked as Researcher in Cyberpsichology e Cybertherapy at the Applied Technology for Neuro-Psychology Lab of the Italian Institute for Auxology. Within the framework of a consortium project with the University of Maastricht, he analyzed and assessed the success of clinical protocols for the treatment of anxiety, stress, and post-traumatic disorders through the use of new technologies and biofeedback.

Other work experience includes his collaboration with the Ordine degli Psicologi, a representative body of the psychologists, in the Province of Lombardia from 2011 to 2013. Within the Working Group named “Psychology and New Technologies”, he indeed contributed to identify innovative tools and strategies in the field of psychology in his home country.

Last but not least, since 2007 he has been working as freelance Psychologist and later as Psychotherapist, and he is co-author of a number of published scientific papers.
